Prior to assuming his current role, Aderemi practiced with one of Nigeria’s leading law firms before joining Forte Oil Plc (formerly African Petroleum Plc) as Company Secretary and Legal Adviser, where he played a key role in corporate legal strategy and governance.
Aderemi has built a strong reputation in corporate investigations and business intelligence, having delivered over 400 reports on Nigerian companies and high-net-worth individuals across multiple jurisdictions for global consulting firms. He is also widely recognized for his expertise in negotiating complex contractual and concession agreements across diverse sectors.
In addition to his commercial legal work, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to social impact, handling over 50 pro bono cases within Nigeria over the past 18 years.
He is an active member of several professional bodies, including the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), the International Bar Association (IBA), the American Bar Association (ABA), and various specialized sections of the NBA.
Aderemi has also contributed extensively to the legal community through various leadership and committee roles within the NBA, including serving on the National Executive Council and chairing key working groups.
He has been recognized in Who’s Who Legal Nigeria (2015–2017) as one of the country’s leading lawyers in Energy and Natural Resources, noted for his diverse expertise, passion, and commitment to excellence.
